Long distance love … Japan and Australia… It does work!!
I met my now husband Adam on RSVP around September 2006. I didn’t ever trust online dating to be honest but I decided to try it anyway. Adam sent me a kiss just a few weeks after I put my profile on site.
I sent him a kiss back and then it began. We have sent each other emails everyday since then and had numerous phone calls. We finally met at Brisbane airport a few months later, it was most romantic meeting ever and we then spent the next 2 weeks together.
Despite the 7,000km distance we continued our long distance relationship when I returned to Japan. We tried to meet each other every 3 months and during that time, we decided to get married! Adam came to Japan to meet my family and we got engaged in Japan in August 2007, nearly a year since we met. I quit my Job in Japan moved to Australia in April 2008. We were married in July 2008.
Thank you RSVP we are so happy. It was not easy for us to overcome the distance between us but it made our bond stronger and our life together even better!
