It is a clever way to meet Japanese women
OZMATCH, a licensed introduction agency based in QLD Australia, held an Online Speed Dating Event on 6th April 2024. We welcomed 9 male participants, 9 Japanese female participants, – a total of 18 members from all over Japan and Australia.
Our Online Speed Dating Event is for men who want to meet Japanese women and Japanese women who want to meet men in Australia or other countries. Each time, some male members are matched with Japanese women and meet formally on a one-to-one basis at a later date (we call it OMIAI).
OZMATCH asks participants various questions during the event. Participants must answer these questions immediately. And by listening to their answers, you can learn about their experiences, values and personality.
So you can see things about other members that you couldn’t see just by looking at their profiles by attending events. This is the best part of attending the OZMATCH Online Speed Dating Event.

This is my first time doing Online Speed Dating and I enjoy and thankful being able to be participate.
The time feels very fast and several times me or the Japanese female member was unable to finish our sentence, so I think a timer is very important.
Everyone in the chat has been friendly and apart from the IT glitch, the event has been smooth.
It is a great idea for the ice breaker question for each person from both male and Japanese female members, it shows characters from each person.
Thank you Misao-san and Sean for being a warm and funny host for the Online Speed Dating Event. I have learned lots and gained valuable experienced from chatting to people which I wasn’t able to normally.

I also liked the opportunity to talk with some new Japanese female members. New members adds a lot, as we’re all different looking for someone who might like us. The more people the more chance.
You and your husband Sean tonight were kept fun and and interesting keeping everyone involved.
My apologies if I appeared tired, as I did this speed dating while on a break at the work site on an overnight shift.

I could feel that I wasn’t the only one who was nervous
Dear Misao & Sean,
I had a great time with you guys. Thank you for providing the opportunity to speak to some of The Emperor’s finest.
They are all very lovely ladies who are fun to talk to and it’s difficult to just pick one or two of them. This was only my second speed dating session, and I could feel that I wasn’t the only one who was nervous. But just like in the previous session you two really helped us relax and open up a bit. Yes, I ended up telling the ladies that I actually like anime (which I had kept secret in the first session because I didn’t want to make a bad impression). It turned out that most of them were ok with it and told me they also like anime (even though they initially said that their interests are travelling, yoga, bushwalking, hanging out with friends or some other normal hobbies). I guess we all have secrets, especially when talking to someone for the first time.
I wish that the sessions are a bit longer, but I understand that it can get really long due to the number of participants. So I wonder if we can have these sessions more often? Once every 3 weeks would be great. I’m sure a lot of the members are interested in participating. I’m looking forward to the next session and hopefully I can be more mentally prepared.

昨日は婚活イベントに参加をさせていただき、ありがとうございました。
このタイミングで珍しく風邪をひいてしまい、やむを得ず欠席の連絡をしないといけないかと体調が不安でしたが、婚活イベント全体の人数的にも、もちろん私個人的にも、参加ができたことが嬉しかったです。
このような婚活を目的としたスピードデーティングのイベント参加は初めてでした。
申し込む前はどのように進んでいくのか分からず不安でしたが、過去の実施の様子を紹介したページをシェアしてくださり、予想できた状態で参加できたのは、大変助かりました。
参加をしてみると、主催のみさおさん、ショーンさんの進行、参加者の皆さんがフレンドリーでとても話しやすい場所でした。そのような雰囲気だったので、初対面ではありますが緊張することなく一人一人との会話を楽しむことができました。
私自身、結婚して子供を持ち家庭を作りたいという希望があり、マッチングアプリを使用し始めたのが一昨年の冬頃。最近オズマッチさんに登録をさせていただき、スピードデーティングのイベント参加、国際的な環境も初でした。
