Why are Japanese women always busy?
One of our Australian male member who recently met two Japanese women at OZMATCH. He sent me this message:
“I tell you what is crazy Misao-san.
A ( one of our Japanese female members) worked until 9pm on Friday nigh.
B ( the other Japanese female member) studies English on a Friday night.
So hardworking!!”
I replied to him: “You know that we are Japanese and that kind of hardworking woman will become your wife.”
Then he said: “If I could turn back time…”
I said: “Too late ( you have already started dating with them. haha)”
We Japanese do not like to be lazy and we always want to grow and improve. I am one of them and I think my husband like my attitude. But this attitude sometimes create a friction between couples.
This is because Japanese society and companies are too busy for employees to have time to relax and enjoy their holidays.
Japan’s three major holidays
In Japan, there are three periods of the year when a week’s holiday can be taken.
One is about five days between the end of the year and New Year’s Day.
One is called ‘Golden Week’, a holiday lasting from seven to ten days, from the end of April to the end of May.
One is during what is known as BON, which is in mid-August. Right now. ( if you would like to know more about BON, this link might help)
You may think ‘only one week?’. But for Japanese, one week is a great opportunity to do something special.
And to do something special, our Japanese female members are now entering Australia to meet their Australian boyfriend/partner.
Of course they met at OZMATCH.
I got a sweet message from one of our Australian male members. He spent a wonderful time with his Japanese girlfriend from Japan. She took her BON holiday a bit earlier and came to Australia to be with him.

She visited Melbourne with her parents. We all had a great time together. I spent a full day with them all. And two days with her.
What a beautiful woman she is and a wonderful family.
We were so connected that I could even communicate with her parents ( with her help of course).
I am feeling a little sad that she has to go but happy as I know she is leaving to come back for good.
