All our female members are Japanese women
OZMATCH’s female members consist exclusively of Japanese women. All our Japanese female members are serious about finding a partner.
They range in age from their 20s to 60s.(10% are in their 20’s, 45% are in their 30’s, 30% are in their 40’s, 15% are in their 50’s and 60’s.). Most of them have never married while some are divorced with children. 35% of them live in Australia and 65% in Japan.
Additionally, all of our Japanese female members are required to have an interview with us when they upgrade their membership. OZMATCH has three membership categories – Basic Membership, 30 Day Trial Membership and Executive Membership.The Japanese female members’ photos may only be viewed by our 30 Day Trial Members and Executive Members who have a clear vision to find a Japanese partner and have submitted all of the required documents.
Why can’t Basic members see the Japanese female members’ photos?
It is because Basic members may be people who are interested in Japanese women, but are not 100% sure if they really want to have a serious relationship.
Therefore, in order to protect the privacy of each and every member and to ensure the safety of our Japanese female members, we only show the age, country of residence and their self-introduction to Basic members but no photos.
OZMATCH protects the privacy of its Japanese female members as well as the privacy of its Australian male members.Just as male basic members cannot see Japanese female members’ photos, female basic members cannot see your photos.
Your age, location and bio are visible to all Japanese female members, but your photos and other details are only visible to 30 Day Trial female members and Executive female members.
OZMATCH treats member’s personal information with utmost care and safety.
To this end:
- OZMATCH will never use your personal information for any purpose without your permission.
- Personal information gathered will be kept responsibly and will never be transferred or provided to a third party.
- Personal information (telephone number, address, e-mail address) entered in the personal profile will be kept private and not passed on to other members without your permission.

- If you wish to unsubscribe, personal files will be deleted promptly and your strict confidentiality will be respected.

We don’t want to introduce our members to anyone who is not single yet. We have to protect all members from individuals who are just looking for fun.
However we have had the same question from Australian men who are processing their divorce and we have accepted them after they have been interviewed and submitted the required documents. Their continuing membership depends on the finalisation of their divorce process.

Only those who have passed the OZMATCH screening process and become executive members can meet with the Japanese female members of OZMATCH. Also, only if both parties agree after the first meeting, OZMATCH will provide the contact details of the other person.
By doing this, we can prevent people who are not looking for a serious relationship from contacting you. This way your personal details (email address, phone number, etc.) will be protected.
Online dating services and matching apps don’t have mediators ( matchmaking advisers). OZMATCH does, and our matchmaking advisers will totally support you in your journey from the initial searching for a partner all the way to finding a perfect match.
The matchmaking adviser acts as a go-between and smoothes the path, dealing with any problems and questions that arise and provides guidance every step of the way.
Online dating services are a minefield of scammers and people who lie about age, nationality, occupation, and marital status. OZMATCH checks all of these things for you so you can be assured that what you see is what you get. OZMATCH provides you with safety in an uncertain world.
Let us divide this into three steps.
Step1: OMIAI ( first date)
You will be introduced to a few Japanese female members in the first month once you become an executive member. If both parties agree to meet, OZMATCH wil set up an OMIAI (first date).Your first OMIAI will be set up approximately two weeks after becoming an executive member.
Step2: ( dating )
If both parties agree to meet again after the OMIAI (first date), OZMATCH will pass on their contact details to both parties. They are free to keep in touch with each other.During this period, the relationship is still provisional, so you can meet and keep in touch with other Japanese female members.
Step3: ( entering in a relationship)
If you both want to get serious, you inform OZMATCH that you have entered into an exclusive relationship.
As your relationship becomes stronger, and once you are both convinced that you will marry in the future, your journey with OZMATCH comes to an end.
If the two members live in Australia, steps1 to 3 will take approximately 1 to 6 months.
If one is living in Australia and the other is in Japan, steps 1 to 3 will take approximately 2 to 8 months.
OZMATCH uses the traditional Japanese introduction system known as OMIAI.
OMIAI means ‘see-meeting’. It is a traditional practice where men and women are introduced to each other by family members or a leader in the community who act as mediators. The potential couple would meet, see whether they were compatible and if they were, after a period of time, would be married.
Throughout Japanese history, OMIAI was quite a formal affair but in modern times it is organized by introduction agencies. In Japan, every weekend, hundreds of OMIAI meetings take place.
